By Barbara L. Minton, NaturalNews.com, 3/6/2008

(NaturalNews) Bee pollen is often referred to as nature's most complete food. Pollen harvested from a diverse selection of geographic areas contains all the essential components of life in a good tasting, chewable, easily digested, and highly bio-available form that can be consumed by anyone from young children to the very old.

All the nutritive and rejuvenating elements contained in expensive, whole food vitamin pills can be found in bee pollen. But since these elements are crafted into the most super of superfoods by nature, they have the added benefits of perfect synergy. Pollen also offers healing, with interesting research studies documenting its medicinal effects…

I use bee pollen every day and have seen a number of amazing benefits. I would like to caution, however, that not everyone can use it. My daughter, who has seasonal pollen allergies, had a very serious reaction to bee pollen with her mouth, throat, eyes all swelling dramatically and dangerously, upon taking a small spoonful of bee pollen. She also had a bad gastrointestinal reaction and threw up repeatedly, after which she said her stomach felt 'weird'. I have no doubt that bee pollen has remarkable and amazing benefits for probably most of us (such as myself), but clearly should be avoided by some. I suspect if she had taken a smaller amount (MUCH smaller), she might have, over time, been able to use it successfully - probably helping her allergies. At this point, however, we're more than a little wary of her trying it again. I would suggest, at least, being very conservative about amount taken in cases where the person has clear seasonal pollen allergies. For the rest of us - 'go for it'!
